<p><strong>Discover in preview the first tests of the Med 42, the magazine Neptune devoted in its number 299 the detail of the performances of this new day-boat.</strong></p>
<p>Med Yacht is developing its entry-level range with this Med 42 of impeccable quality and competitive price. Enough to make a place for itself in this highly coveted market.</p>
<p>After the Med 52, launched in 2016 and manufactured since then in seventeen copies, the French brand Med Yacht continues the development of its range with a smaller model, the 42. This day-boat of just under 13 meters competes with the Fiart, Fjord, Pardo and other Solaris. It has benefited from the pencil stroke of Italian designer Enrico Gobbi, which translates into rounder and less tense lines than on its predecessor.</p>
<p>Gilles Vaton is still at the helm of the boat, and his hull design was inspired by that of the Pilotins. The very pronounced V at the bow is assisted by three large strakes and a marked step to ensure a comfortable sea passage and a good deflection of the waves. This hull is compatible with a Z-drive or IPS engine and an outboard version (with 2 x 600 horsepower or 3 x 300 horsepower) is planned for October 2021. Manufactured since 2014 in the Galeon factories in Poland, Med Yachts are customizable and the 42 is no exception to the rule leaving the future owner the choice between several upholsteries and woodwork.</p>

<p><strong>The MedYacht group, located in Saint-Tropez, in Les Marines de Cogolin and in Grimaud, announces the resumption of the distribution of Mercury Mercruiser for the Var and Corsica during the month of July 2019. The distribution will be handled by Monaco Marine in the interim period.</strong></p>

<p>The new distribution contract signed with Mercury Mercruiser and the acquisition of the business branch of the Mercury department of Monaco Marine, will allow the group to offer its customers, professionals and agents, an additional service for the distribution of spare parts and sales. Mercury / Mercruiser inboard and outboard engines, in addition to maintenance activities. Boat rentals and sales are provided by the other subsidiaries of the group.</p>
<p>MED YACHT DISTRIBUTION (new Mercury department of the MedYacht group) will take over all the personnel, assets and stock of the Mercury business line from Monaco Marine to Cogolin.</p>
<p>The MED YACHT DISTRIBUTION - Mercury Mercruiser department will remain at Monaco Marine's premises in Cogolin until the end of December 2019, when the business line will join the Repco Marine facilities in Grimaud (shipyard of the MedYacht group), in a part of the hangar dedicated to accommodate teams, parts and engine stock.</p>

<p>In the ever more demanding niche of the great Mediterranean day-cruisers, rare are the manufacturers to have imposed themselves by daring to leave the beaten track in stylistic matters. Appeared without making much noise at the beginning of the 2010s, the French brand Med Yacht did not fail to amaze by managing to impose its style. Tight silhouette, high-performance hull designed by Gilles Vaton and deck layout designed to make the most of life at anchor, the Med are today among the boats recognizable at a glance in the ports of the Côte d'Azur. With two models of 42 and 52 feet manufactured at the Galeon shipyard in Poland, the French firm has succeeded in becoming one of the names to be counted on in the large European opens segment. Their particularity? Bright, clean, sharp lines, as if they had been cut with a billhook, and almost vertical planks. The clever arrangement of their deck plans, which only have one level difference, also works in favor of these units which can accommodate two or three cabins. The custom policy practiced by the yard, which leaves a wide choice in terms of materials, fabrics and fittings, is no stranger to the brand's success either.</p>

<p><strong>Launched in 2011 at the Cannes Motor Show under the name Med 45, then Med 48, the third version of this powerful open puts on a new outfit. The eye sees only subtle changes, yet this is a brand new boat. </strong></p>
<p>When it was released in 2011, we praised this French-designed open, highlighting the qualities of the Gilles Vaton hull and the approval of the deck plan. A year later, version 2 was launched with a higher windshield and a raised bulwark in terms of the main developments. Today, version 3 has new ambitions and it took two years of reflection and work to finalize all the changes, starting with the choice of a new site. The first two versions were built in Bahrain in the Persian Gulf. It is now in Poland, at the Galeon shipyard, that the Med 48s are produced under license, offering real technological mastery in all stages of manufacturing.</p>

<p><strong>The latest from the Marseille manufacturer, the Med 48 CJV edition is a contemporary open sports star. It comes to concretize the desire of Alexandre-Jacques Vernazza, young boss of Med Yacht, to impose himself in high-end yachting. </strong></p>
<p>First step in 2007, with the creation of Mediaco Yachts , in Marseille, a subsidiary specializing in the sale, service and rental of motor boats. That is a year before Hurricane Lehman Brothers devastated the nautical sector. In 2009, the relocation of the company to Saint-Tropez - in direct contact with a clientele rather protected from the horrors of the crisis - allowed an unexpected growth driver. Mediaco Yachts distributes beautiful brands - Al Dhaen Craft, Sea Water - and develops its rental fleet as well as its fleet of wintering boats. At the same time, father and son want to realize a project that is close to their hearts: creating their own brand, designing a boat according to their idea.<em> "We thought there was something different to do"</em>, underlines Alexandre-Jacques Vernazza. In 2010, Med Yacht was created, and in 2011, the first boat was presented at the Cannes boat show. Perfectly in line with the sporty chic yachting trend of the moment, the Med 45 quickly seduces with its sleek design. The public and the specialized press salute the lively and nervous pencil stroke of the silhouette, as well as the comfortable fittings of this seaside lounge.</p>
<p><span class="redactor-invisible-space">On board, circulation between the aft salon, the large foredeck with solarium, the two double cabins, with their bathroom, and the saloon with galley is perfectly fluid. The panacea for small cruises! Signed by Marseille architect Gilles Vaton, the very sharp V hull works wonders. Inspired by pilot boat type work boats, it provides the Med 45 with flawless seaworthiness. Built in Bahrain, at Al Dhaen Craft, the Med 45 has had some success: ten copies are sold. An honorable number in this niche of the 15-meter open cruiser for which the competition is fierce and very creative.<br />

<p><span class="redactor-invisible-space">To boost Med Yacht, Alexandre-Jacques Vernazza is reviewing the concept in 2013. And the manufacturing process. For the new boat, it retains the general modern, elegant spirit, while reinforcing the habitability, the level of comfort on board, the quality of services, equipment and finishes. Wider and longer, the deck plan includes a 2.3-meter tender garage. A new windshield, topped with a hard-top with electric bimini, offers optimal protection. The interior fittings benefit from a stylistic boost, with a wide range of colors available for the leathers, linings and woodwork. Series ! Powered by a 2 x 600 hp IPS 800 Volvo engine, the set should reach 40 knots, while the previous model was limited to 33 knots, with a 2 x 435 hp IPS 600.Marketed from 600,000 euros HT, the new Med 48 is called CJV edition, the initials of Christian-Jacques Vernazza. </span></p>

<p><strong>The Med 45 is a contemporary open, which gives an important place to the deck plan, facing outwards. This French-designed boat is supported by an excellent hull signed by Marseille architect Gilles Vaton. </strong></p>
<p>It was in Cannes, during the September boat show that Mediaco Yachts proudly presented its first baby, the Med 45, which fits without blushing into the family of open living spaces, represented until then by the Wally One, Fjord 40, VanDutch40 or BlueGame40. These boats have one thing in common: a distinct aesthetic choice highlighted by a straight bow and above all by a plan fitted out and open to the sea. With a length of 14.90 meters including the long swim platform, the Med 45 is an imposing and spacious open.</p>

<p>Open hull, IPS propulsion, ultra-comfortable deck fittings, minimalist design…</p>
<p>Here is a boat very much in tune with the times, but also exceptional since this concept applies to a unit 15 meters long. This therefore allows immense spaces, with for example two benches facing each other that can accommodate 8 or 10 people, and transformable into a solarium of 2.20 x 2.80 m! Unlike the layout of the bridge, the interior of the Med 45 seems a bit cramped. The companionway, located at the control station, gives access to a galley with refrigerator and storage, a large aft cabin, a bathroom and a small forward cabin. Its volume is so small that some opt for a single cabin. The maximum motorization of the boat is planned for 2 x 435 hp, but judging by the performance thus obtained (no more than 35 knots), it should in fact be considered as a minimum.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Mediaco Yachts has upgraded the Med 45, the prototype of which was presented at Cannes last year. Many modifications have changed the perceived image of the boat, which takes the name of Med 48, without distorting its strong personality.</strong></p>
<p>Since the project was first published in Neptune (issue 167) under the name Med 42, we have witnessed all stages of the birth of a boat and the often complex journey that leads to the finished product. Mediaco Yachts made a name for itself by importing and distributing Al Dahen opens, tapered deep V hulls, powerfully motorized in speedboats and built in the eponymous yard of Bahrain, in the Persian Gulf. When Mediaco Yachts launched the idea of producing a boat under its name, it was naturally towards Bahrain that the choice fell for the construction.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>At the end of the Rally Germany, part of the World Rally Championship, Romain Dumas won the third round of the FIA R-GT Cup with his co-driver Denis Giraudet.</p>
<p>At the wheel of his Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0l, entered by the RD Rally Team and sporting a special decoration for the occasion, the driver from Alès set the fastest time on each of the 21 stages. He was in the middle of the WRC2s on the first day and finished the event in 25th place overall.</p>
<p><strong>Romain Dumas shows the competitiveness of his 911 GT3 RS 4,0l !</strong><br />
After a remarkable performance in Ypres, Romain Dumas once again showed the potential of his Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4,0l, developed by RD Limited. He took the lead in the FIA R-GT category from the very first special stage, but for his discovery of the German roads, in the middle of the vineyards, he was not satisfied with dominating the Porsche of François Delecour. He was also in the middle of the WRC2s, regularly finishing in the top 20 overall. A remarkable performance considering the specificities of the course. Making the FIA R-GT category his main objective, Romain concentrated on this mission. He quickly became a solid leader. The advance on his pursuer being large, he limited progressively the risk taking. And if the first day had been pleasant, the second was going to be more difficult, with roads even less adapted to the size of the Porsche. The French driver also lost several minutes following a puncture - which he suffered like many other competitors - and then because of a recalcitrant closure of the front hood. In these conditions, and while the victory in FIA R-GT was promised to him, Romain ensured the final day, keeping the 25th position of the general classification, which would have been synonymous with a Top 10 in WRC2.
